we were moved as the key cards weren't working at the one we booked, this hotel was further out and right near the trams so very noisy. It was such ashame as I had a lovely stay at the other one

It was good value for money for the centre of Antwerp and the b/fast was adequate.My main critism is NO air conditioning in our room 606(I do not know about the other rooms)Luckily the weather was wet/cloudy every day & the temp did not reach 20 celcius! but inside our room it was very humid we kept the window open all night, despite the traffic noise,but if the temp was in the mid seventies it would have been unbearable.

Please note the Diamond museum closes every Wednesday. TRAVELLING TO ANTWERP. !It is worth utilising the airport bus service from Brussels airport to Antwerp city centre.it is 8 euros one/way per person and drops you right in th middle of the city,walking distant to most of the CITY/centre hotels.

Very bad experience with this hotel. Upon arrival, we were told we could not have a room because of electrical problems. We were sent to another hotel, much further away from the city centre and one of inferior quality to this hotel but we were charged the same rate.

Car parking is a big issue in Antwerp, and the hotel has parking attached at very reasonable rates for residents. Very central -- lots of pleasant restaurants in easy walking distance. Station and Diamond museum close to hand.

The guy on reception who checked us in was on the telephone the whole time which we thought was very rude. He didn't make us feel welcome even though we had just driven from England. He didn't even say one word to us! Also the toilet paper in our room was not replaced and when we asked at reception for some more to be put in our room, we were told to go to the toilet in the hotel's basement to take one from there! Not what you would expect of a 4* hotel!

Top Tip
The old town was well worth a visit as was the cathederal. The food was excellent at the restaurants we ate in (recommended in the Insight guidebook).

I booked a 4 star hotel Residence and I was put into another hotel 3 star once I arrived. Not good!

Top Tip
Bring a hairdryer if your a girl it has one of those awful hose ones that just takes hours to dry hair and burns your hand
